In the German version, only the instrumental version remained, as officials in both the GDR and the FRG felt that the version recorded specifically in German sounded too much like a schlager-pop song. The
main theme, which later became known as “Küss mich, halt mich, lieb mich,” appeared once again in the final scene.

The German-Czech co-production had its cinema premiere in the ČSSR on November 1, 1973, in the GDR in March 1974 and in the FRG on December 19, 1974. It was first shown on West German television on December 26, 1975.
