Song View

The song was released under James Brown's name in November 1968, but actually features the James Brown Band led by Pee Wee Ellis. In December 1968, the same instrumental recording was released under the name of Marva Whitney (King 45-6206). A year later, Pee Wee Ellis was granted permission to release the song on his own single under his name, on which the song can be heard in an extended version on both sides. Only a short time after these events, Pee Wee Ellis left the King label.
