According to a website, the German original by Monika Grimm with the title "Ohne dich" was used in England in 1969 for a Shell advertisement and then released as a record in German with an English title.
Apart from a corresponding blog post, no further information could be found. The single was released on September 19, 1969. The title "Ohne dich" can be found in a release on a compilation from 1999.
