"Bridal Doll", also "The Doll Of The Bride" was first published in February 1924 in the Japanese magazine Reijokai as a poem "Hanayome Ningyo" by Fukiya. Sugiyama wrote the melody for it in 1932. The song became a popular children's song in Japan. Keiko and Elvin Jones introduced the song to the jazz scene - the song is often stretched to over half an hour there. The Japanese spelling of the title is 花嫁人形.
