Song Shosholoza (1959)

Language
Ndebele, North; North Ndebele,
Zulu
The song has the character of a folk song and developed into the unofficial anthem of South Africa, now sung by the entire stadium at soccer or rugby matches. The melody is attributed to Todd Matshikiza, but he probably based it on traditional songs of the Zimbabweans and South Africans. There are now many text variants, also in other languages from the South African-speaking world.
