"Iron Bar" is a mento whose melody was used by Irving Burgie in 1956 for the very famous song "Jamaica Farewell". "Iron Bar" is refers to a racehorse actually named "Barkwood". It was so legendary in Kingston that a song with the lyric line "Barkwood Belly Like A Iron Bar" was created by an unknown author. The original lyrics are sung in Jamaican Creole (Patois), the video is just an audio sample.
