The premiere of the film "Rio Bravo" was on March 8, 1959, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Its general theatrical release in the US followed on March 18, 1959. In the film, Ricky Nelson performs the song together with Dean Martin, while on the soundtrack singles, Dean Martin sings solo. The song's main theme had already been used by Tiomkin in the film "Red River" (1948).
