The song is the opening music for the TV series "Weeds", which ran in several seasons from 2005 to 2012 in the USA on 'Showtime' (Paramount). In the first season, the version by Malvina Reynolds (recorded in 1967) was played, which was replaced by the version by Elvis Costello from the second season onwards. From season 3 onwards, Randy Newman sang the opening song.
