Originally released in 1988 under the title "Eli kan", the song was re-released in 1994 with the title "Angui ou Selmi" under which it can still be found today in various music portals. Unfortunately there is currently no sound carrier of the earlier recording available on the net. The original song became known worldwide through the plagiarism lawsuit that Cheb Rabah led against Khaled since 2013 and won in 2015.
