In contrast to the resolute performance of the title song by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes—who had never met before the recording—the harmony between Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze was merely an act. They had already appeared together on screen in 1983 for the film “Red Dawn” and couldn’t stand each other.
