The Vocal Trio (from about 1932 Vocal Quartet) always operated under both names, both as "The Rhythm Boys" and as "Paul Whiteman's Rhythm Boys". Only with the new formation around 1932 (now with George MacDonald, Jimmy Noel and Ray Kulz) did they mainly perform as "Paul Whiteman's Rhythm Boys".
