"The Great Society" played a live concert in 1966 (probably in February) at "The Matrix" in San Francisco which was recorded. Since the band broke up in autumn 1966, Grace Slick re-recorded the song with Jefferson Airplan in early 1967. In 1968 an album with this live concert under the artist name "The Great Society with Grace Slick" was released.
