The Scottish Christian hymn “Abide With Me” by Henry Francis Lyte, written in 1847, is usually sung to the melody “Eventide” by William Henry Monk. Monk's version was released in 1861 in the hymn collection “Hymns Ancient and Modern” by Novello & Co. London.
