Director Ridley Scott made two different cut versions, so there are also two different soundtracks. The first version was shown at the 42nd Venice International Film Festival in August 1985 and premiered in the UK on August 28, 1985. Since Scott felt that this version was too complicated for U.S. audiences, he made a six-minute shorter print (with a slightly altered ending) that premiered in the U.S. on April 18, 1986. It was also accompanied by the second soundtrack album with Tangerin Dream. There is also a 113 minute director's cut. Unfortunately, YouTube does not clearly label the different soundtrack versions, so it is not certain that this video contains the original film version.
